According to Om Shanti and other groups of people, in order to master any task you should repeat it 21 times. They also add that, it will make you habitual to that task, as a result you will master it. You should definitely try this method.

Alongside, as per my view, In order to master a particular topic/task/field you need to explore within that particular topic/task/field until you get satisfied. Check it from the all the possible dimensions as you can. Don’t follow the pre-paved path or else you may end up with a lot of confusions. Go within it create all the questions by yourself answer it by your own, because if any problems/obstacles/questions comes on your way after it, it won’t be any big deal for you to halt it because you would have already halted lots of difficult problems/queries which you had created by yourself. Then you’ll find not even a single thing could remain unsolved from you. Eventually, you will master it.
